Ultimately we engaged a solicitor, and I think that’s probably a good move. But a lesson that I learned fairly during the process was the solicitor’s there, but Infinity is there to be that intermediary. For anyone that’s going through this process, try to avoid contacting solicitors. Send through to Travis, ask Travis, get him to do what needs to be done with your solicitor. I think it’s far more effective, certainly better financially. But he knows what he’s doing, he knows how to deal with those questions and a lot of things. They don’t even need to go through to a solicitor that Travis can deal with those himself.
With Travis’ experience, he was able to pre-empt what may go wrong and try and prevent that earlier, or at least, mitigate them when they were occurring to try to decrease any long term issues. And we got there, which is the main thing.
One of the first things that Travis mentioned was that he wanted to do a short video. I think that was one of the big things that the few people that looked at the business made comment about the fact that it really gave them a big insight into what they were buying, into me. And I think, buying an RTO is not like buying a business. It’s very, very different. I think the approach that Travis had, particularly that side of things was very, very good.
I approached a good friend of mine that’s in the compliance industry and I said, ‘Look, I want a broker that knows what he’s doing, doesn’t go on with garbage, and we’ll get the job done.’ And he said, ‘Well, this is the guy.’ Obviously, that’s how I got on to Travis.
Travis’s knowledge around dealing and navigating the government bodies for transfer and the right timing and the execution was extremely helpful. I think from a contractual point of view and everything, Travis’s advice and what he delivered and did made all that process, which I believe could be quite time consuming, very easy and very quick.
Personally I would recommend Travis. I think he seems to be the leader or the market leader in the space in the RTO.
The sales process with Infinity was good. Once we got it executed, and had signed and everything, it went very smoothly from there.
I did a bit of homework before I selected and I think Infinity came up with the best reviews. I think they’re the most responsive when I submitted requests for people to come back. I think they’re very realistic on price and expectations.
I did a few searches and from what I read and what I saw on the net, Infinity seems to be the most prominent RTO seller around and their reviews were great, and that’s probably what made one of my decisions.
